Brutal movie - beautiful music

The opening of this movie is my favourite part. Beautifully done. But most of it is laughable. Especially the armour. But what a score! Beautifully lit and set. Some of the camera movements are oddball.

This I love the choral arrangement. Some of the colours are right out of Holst's the Planets - I think Saturn - the last piece of the suite. Camelot. What a tune! If Ever I Would Leave You was done by Sonny Rollins. Check that out. Classic change of keys in Camelot, with royal motif to boot. The arrangements and orchestrations are brilliant. Superb. It amazes me how Richard Harris can turn such banal lines into great story telling. That would be a good audition test. Let a bunch of auditioning actors give those crappy lines. If they can make music out of it, they must be good.
