The final scenes
I know that the final scenes in Camelot (Guenevere breaking down and the song at the credits) are very sad, but how many people cried at the end. I know that in 1967 and the following uears, audiences were crying because of this, but how many people are cry now? I myself, cried for Guenevere, but the tears really came when the final song came up. The music to this film is a splendid piece of work that really deserved the Oscar, as did Redgrave but with her competition (Kate Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Anne Bancroft, Faye Dunnaway and Edith Evans) she was sure to be singled out (The fact that the film received mixed reviews didn't help either. Just look at Jarhead. Jake and Peter gave fine performances and didn't receive one for this film).
Also, what other scenes bring out an emotion to you. I know that my heart quickens when the song "Guenevere" is being played and you want Lancelot to hurry up and save her. I've also cried (I had really gotten into the movie) during "What Do the Simple Folk Do?" when Arthur realized Guenevere's betrayel and I always want to go outside and run around after "The Lusty Month of May" because of all the fun outdoor activites they have.
