Does anybody know of any other really, really old movies, like this one, that were like the "first-of-their-kinds"? And/or of/any in particular (movies) like gradually working to modern day sex scenes? Just curious. Thank you!

But in terms of other movies like B&C, outlaws on the run, try "Badlands" with Martin Sheen and Sissie Spacek, based on the Charles Starkweather murders in the 50's, and two young lovers going on a crime spree. Directed by Terence Malick, more of an art film than an exploitation film.
More modern, look at "True Romance" and "Natural Born Killers". Tarantino scripts, directed by Hollywood pro Tony Scott (TR) and Oliver Stone (NBK). TR is a modern day B&C for the nineties, funny in parts, a satire of crime films and Hollywood, tough action but ultimately a sweet love story underneath. NBK is a crazy over the top look at serial killers and the fake myth of the romantic outlaws, Tarantino humor and action mixed in with Stone social satire and camera experiments, psychedelic and surrealistic, brilliant in parts, funny, disturbing, great cast.
Any others? I am sure I am missing some, but in terms of lovers on the run and the outlaw myth, these come to mind, and all of them are good in their own way.
