What does Blanche tell to the police officers at the hotel?

At the hotel shootout, the one in which Buck gets shot in the head, what does Blanche tell the officers at the door? Every time I watch it, I can't figure it out. It's something about "the other side." Is she ratting out Bonnie and Clyde by telling the police that they're next door?

reply

Yes, she said, "They're on the other side!" and was referring to Bonnie and Clyde.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but do you think she did that to buy time for all of them or to rat out Bonnie and Clyde and save herself and Buck? It'd be lame if she betrayed them like that, especially since C.W. seemed so gleeful as the couple road off to their deaths.

if i remember right from a doc i saw on b&c, bonnie and blanche called out when the police knocked to throw them off and make it seem like it was just women staying in the room. i dont think blanche was ratting them out

reply

What she actually said was "the men are on the other side".

reply

Yeah, Blanche was quite the lame addition to the group. I can see why Bonnie didn't like her. The scream when the police first arrive put them on total alert.

And that motel scene, total garbage move on her part.

reply

Yeah she said 'The men are on the other side', I guess because if they thought it was only women in the room, they wouldn't come in searching.
