Thanks for the link, BostonAsphalt. That remake is a horrible idea. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but on that page under "trivia," it says:

Faye Dunaway was quoted by the Chicago Sun-Times has having said "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?" upon hearing that Hilary Duff had been cast as Bonnie Parker.

I completely agree, Faye. And no offense to this Kevin kid, but he can't even compare to Beatty. This is disgraceful. Maybe by some natural disaster, sudden deficiency of funds, or somebody coming to their senses, this disrespectful incarnation won't be made...

If they pick Hillary Duff to do Bonnie and if its true thats what Ive been hearing, then ill snap!!!
Bonnie was hot, Hilarry is just....ewwww

All those associated with the film should have the same fate as Bonnie and Clyde.

reply

Hillary Duff get shot a billion times should be fun.

If that is your dream director/actor/era/theme combination, then I STRONGLY suggest you check out Public Enemies (yes, it's blaringly obvious you have already seen it).

Somehow I doubt Mann and Depp would be eager to cover similar territory again.

Bonnie-Brenda Song

Clyde-Justin Bieber

Natural Born Killers was LOOSEly based on Bonnie and Clyde... it was about as close to a good remake that we've seen.

Public Enemies was a horrible movie, and Johnny Depp has never appealed to me; whoever thought he should star in a Bonnie And Clyde remake is dreaming if he/she thinks J.D. is even *CLOSE* to Warren Beatty's awesomeness. Yuck!!! So a remake is already in the works, eh? It already doesn't exist for me. I'd rather watch the original again.

I could see Quentin Tarantino definitely being able to do a depiction of the Bonnie and Clyde story, and accordingly it would probably have Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman. Maybe I'm crazy, but I seriously could see that working.
