Was the poem that was in the newspaper written by Bonnie Parker?

Yes. Not just in the movie, but in reality.

As was "The Story of Suicide Sal," which she reads a few stanzas of to the group (while being interrupted by Buck) shortly before the Joplin shootout. In reality, she was working on the poem on her typewriter (which Clyde had stolen for her) just before the shooting at Joplin. But close enough.

In fact, Bonnie wrote several poems while on the run. Here's a collection of some of them:
