Does Speed ever find out Racer X is his brother?
shareI believe he did in the end, but only Speed knew. I don't believe he ever told Pops, Mrs. Racer or Spritle. But we'll find out for sure after watching the recently released Volume IV, the last of the series on DVD.

There is a vol 5 i think in race around the world speed finds out that racer x is his bother Rex Racer
shareThe last episode was Race Around the World. The story before that was The Trick Race, the one where the Car Acrobatic Team use their planted bombs to turn them back on the bad guys after being warned by Racer X, who was wounded by them.
At the end of that episode Speed confronts Racer X and asks him if he's really his older brother Rex. Racer X hits Speed in the stomach and knocks him out. Then he admits that he is Rex but is not coming home to the family. Before leaving, he takes off his mask and drops it near Speed. When Speed awakens he sees the mask but since he was unconcious during Racer X's confession, he's not sure if he's Rex or not.
In Race Around the World, when they meet again, Speed doesn't bring it up. At the end of the last episode, after Speed wins the World Championship, Racer X thinks to himself that though Speed once suspected he was his older brother he never found out for sure. Racer X will continue to watch over him always making sure that he is safe
Atleast in the US version, go to Toonzone.net, do a search for Speed Racer and go to a topic started by Ickis (me) about Speed Racer censorship, its a bit confusing on what really happens though you gotta wonder how Racer X survived a bullet in the head and why in "The Trick Race" the flashbacks are abnormaly long.
shareConfirmed: I just watched The Trick Race, and sure enough, jimmy19029 is correct. Except when Speed came to and found the mask, he did put two and two together and figured out that Racer X is Rex. In fact, he ran toward the direction he thought Rex and the Car Acrobatic Leader had exited, calling "Rex, Rex." At that point, Trixie, Sparky and gang ran up to Speed, hearing him call for Rex, and asked if he finally found him after all of these years and if he'll be coming home, but, alas, Speed couldn't answer. But this leaves me with the impression that he now knows Rex is Racer X, but nobody else in the fam is aware. Why Trixie and Sparky didn't figure it out, knowing that Racer X had just left, I'll never know. So I guess Speed is keeping the secret to himself. Maybe he did hear Rex's confession as well as his conviction---after he punched Speed in the bread basket---that he had given up being a racecar driver to devote full time to being a secret agent.
