new book on Mannix

I've read author JoAnn Paul's posts on the Home Theatre Forum for quite some time and while she has written some truly wonderful and insightful things about Mannix--and has done so in a most eloquent manner--I find myself tuning out whenever she goes on about Mannix being a myth or folk hero. It is most unfortunate--for me, that is--that her book appears to be completely dedicated to that same dull concept. I wish Ms. Paul had used her considerable intellect and obvious passion for this great show to write what the program needs: a complete episode guide and behind-the-scenes "making of" book. Classic TV rarely gets these things anymore. I sincerely hope she in fact does take on another Mannix project because she would do a brilliant job.
