So many scenes from the indoor Brady house.
Did they think no one would notice? It is very distracting. Come on build new sets. I love Mannix. Please do not misread me.

shareShut up!
shareThat's because Mike Brady aka Robert Reed worked with Mannix for awhile after he got out of the architect business and became a cop.
P.S. The house still didn't have any toilets in the bathrooms once Mannix started using it. The people still had to go around the corner to the gas station like when Mike, Carol, Alice and the kids all lived there.
I always enjoyed seeing the Brady House on Mannix. They used it a lot in the episode where Linda Evans guest starred.
shareBoth The Brady Bunch and Mannix were filmed
on the Paramount lot but they aired on seperate networks.
The thing is, MANNIX had that set first. Before it was officially the Brady home and in the seasons from the start to 1969, Mannix had many variations of the brady kliving room and layout.
Once The Brady bunch debuted, you'd think they would stop using it but nope. Kids and teens (and some parents) watched The Brady Bunch on ABC. Young adults to oldr adults watched Mannix on CBS (so maybe they didn't know about that.)
I have to say though, I was taking the episode where Joe pretends to be a heroin addict pretty seriously and it was really attention grabbing. Then along comes the Brady living room & kitchen and took me right out of the 'real' feeling of the show.
Since I grew up watching The Brady Bunch and only have seen Mannix since Dec. ,it 'is' a bit distracting for me. Not 100% because the show is good but using that set less would have made it even better.
Go for it or just be a gopher!

Yes, even my 13 year old son noticed it's the Brady Bunch living room set! Can't believe they used it more than once..
shareIt is called saving money and back then the two target audiences were totally different. Screen Gems did the same thing you see the Bewitched living room on others shows like I Dream of Jeannie etc. It was just a cost saving technique. They had no idea 30-40 years later people would be watching or comparing
shareDr Bellows' house (I dream of Jeannie) was the Stevens' house on Bewitched. Also used in movie Brian's Song.
