I'm desperately in need of the original Forsyte Saga on U.S. video for my parents' anniversary. Can someone tell me where to get it?

Many many thanks . . . I ordered it today. I saw it when it came out in the US years ago, but I want others who are watching the 2002 version on TV now, to see the original, and of course I want to see it again. The performances of Eric Porter as Soames, Nyree Dawn Porter as Irene, and Kenneth Moore as Young Jolyon are, in my opinion, unbeatable by those doing it now, or possibly, by any others for that matter. At least, that is my memory as I think back and compare . . . Cheers . . . SJB

I wonder if you found the original Forsyte Saga? I saw it years ago, and am now watching the 2002 version. However, that only makes me want to see the original again. I believe that the portrayal of Soames and Irene in particular are far far better in the original. I know I could get it in the UK on the PAL format and have it converted to VHS. I am considering doing that, or alternatively buying a VCR which will play the PAL format. Please let me know if you get any leads on VHS. Many thanks . . . Stuart
