Is this an accurate summary of the film? I haven't seen it
Alright, so everybody knows that Virginia Woolf was long dead when this movie came out. So I've heard arguments for years about the plot of this film.
Some say it's a comedy, a la "Weekend at Bernies", where two hosts have dug up Virginia Woolf and try to pass her off as alive in the corner, but passed out from drinking too much. This lie falls apart when the guests notice all the flies, worms, and stench.
The other summary I've heard is Virignia Woolf's granddaughter is visiting her for the first time. Unfortunately, an anthropomorphic wolf has eaten her and draped her clothes. The wolf lures the grandchild closer and devours her too.
Anyways, which summary would you say is more accurate?
No matter which summary is more accurate, is it just me, or was it 'too soon' to make fun of Virginia Woolf's deaths in the 60s?
You certainly wouldn't have any films this un-PC being made today.
I am the prophet of the IMDb Mod Gods. They act when I call.
