It looks positively medevial...

Where do I begin. This movie ranks up there in my top 10 for sure, for reasons I don´t really know. The person who wrote the film review on the first page really did sum it up. Great work from Roz Russell, Haley Mills, and the rest of the cast, not to mention directing from Ida Lupino.
What´s funny is when I mention this movie most people´s faces totally light up! I´m a male who went through parochial school a decade later but find in this movie the innocence of a time not too long ago. Ok, call me a sentimental fool, but you can´t help watching TTWA and feeling awfully darn good!!

Yes Wonderful film, I think Roslynd Russell steals the show, she has such
an air about her, similar to the Hollywood Greats, Davis, Hepburn
Crawford, Looking at her history I am suprised she didnt ever get any
major roles, maybe like in life the wrong time at the wrong place
But really heart warming and fun film to watch - Paul 9/10

Hey Paul!

well...she did get some great roles..unfortunetly she has fallen into second place with so many stars out there.

Check out the article in Vanity Fair about her. She was the best!

Thanks for responding.

"His Girl Friday"
"My Sister Eileen"
"Picnic"
"Auntie Mame"
"Gypsy"
"Trouble With Angels"
"Where Angels Go Trouble Follows"

Nominated for oscar 4 times.
Tony WINNER for the broadway musical "Wonderful Town".

WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO MAJOR ROLES???????? TRY "AUNTIE MAME"!!!!!!!! The film is only called the film of a generation. And it is filled with trademark her glances and gestures that act and send messages without saying a word.
Plus the reply before me just only list some of the best films ever made. "His Girl Friday" is one of Howard Hawks best comedies.
NO MAJOR ROLES? GET REAL.
