I love this film

I saw it,as a young child, the first weekend it came out. I've had to have seen it at least 40 times since, through the years. It has so much warmth and integrity. Yes it's episodic but so untypical of a sixties cute comedy. The moments of Hayley Mills as she watches Rosalind Russell, the backstory of Camilla Sparv's character, the death of one of the sisters and the chemistry between Mills and June Harding, somehow puts it above other films of that time. I can't picture anyone but Mills and Russell playing these characters. The Jerry Goldsmith score is beautiful. The school,St Frances is a character itself, and it's hallways linger in the memory. This movie, for me ,has a life of its own. It brings back a time of innocence in film, that i wish we could get back. I'm sure as the producers were making it,they felt it was a cute comedy with Rosalind Russell and Hayley Mills, that could turn a profit, but "The Trouble With Angels" is so much more than that!

Just because something can't be explained, doesn't mean it becomes yours!

I'm watching it now (again). It always makes me smile. And Rosalind Russell is just awesome.

It's amazing how much more I value this movie today. Besides just being a really good movie, it also brings back personal memories of the '60s when I first saw it as a kid. That, of course, is something no movie made today can do.

It's a lovely movie, for sure! I've seen it a few times these past 2 or so years.
