Documentary on Roz Russell (Hayley interviewed)

There is a great documetary on PBS (and available for purchase) about the life of Rosalind Russell. It is called "Life is a Banquet - The Rosalind Russell Story". Hayley Mills is interviewed in this documentary and talks about Roz during the shooting of TTWA. Good stuff!!

Thanks very much for the tip. I'll have to check eBay for a used copy!

I didn't know about the documentary, I will have to look for also.
Very curious about what Haley Mills says about Rosalind Russell. Miss Russell DEFTINATLEY did not have a good memory of working with Haley Mills (check her LIFE IS A BANQUET autobiography)!
(She must have thought even less of Stella Stevens in the sequel, her she doesn't even mention!).

Thanks again to the OP for the tip on the documentary.
I just ordered it from Amazon, 19.99.
Thanks again.

As far as I understand, Roz Russell died before her autobiography came out, and it was as much a product of her widower', theatrical producer Frederick Brisson, as it was her own opinions. What she said about Hayley Mills was something like she was bursting at the seams with repressed sexuality, and she stuck her tongue out at Roz Russell whenever she passed. Well, I kind of think the "repressed sexuality" thing was Fred Brisson's contribution, and Hayley Mills has been extremely generous in her remarks about what "Russell" said, even though she seems mystified as to why that opinion was in the book. She says that Russell was very beautiful, a great star, everybody in the cast had tremendous respect for her. Obviously given the age and status differences, they were not close, but over the years Mills has been pretty candid, and I think if she had been rude to Russell she'd have called herself out. I call b.s. on the autobiography.
