A GREAT contemporary film of 'Torn Curtain'

Not sure if it's been discussed yet, but if you want to see a GREAT 'Everyman' spy thriller, watch William Holden in 'The Counterfeit Traitor' A simply superb film which was filmed on location in Sweden. it follows Eric Ericsson a American emigre to Sweden during WWII who is in the oil business. Excellent cinematography, acting and direction. IMO, a much better film than 'Torn Curtain'

TORN CURTAIN was loosely based on the intelligence mission carried out by the late J. Paul Wesley. Wesley was an American physicist who pretended to defect to the USSR for the FBI(not the CIA).
The character of Lindt was based on Sergei Korolev, the brains behind the Soviet space program.
