I wonder what she meant by that. Pure? Fresh? Something she wasn't?

In the one act play a line is repeated by Willie,"the sky is so white, white as a clean piece of paper". I believe this line is only finished once as Alva was on the train. My interpretation is the future is for each character to create at that moment.
