Anyone else find it hilarious how he jumps into the freezing water, swims to his lady, fertalizes the egg, then dies?

Like a human salmon.

No, it was NOT hilarious. It was sad that he had to do that because this racist country would not allow him to marry her legally. Then get sick and do not go for help for fear of being put in the brig? That is not the least bit funny!

Well, maybe Frenchy didn't deserve to be a human salmon, but I can think of plenty of men who should be listening to their inner fish.
