Valley of Fire state park.

My wife and I have been to the Valley of Fire state park in Nevada a number of times. I like to visit the areas where the movie was filmed. Interesting how most of the wall where they camped is still there and in fair shape.

My wife and I got married there at the arch rock in 2004. I could not find the opportunity to sneak away to find the locations. :(

Thank I was wondering. I figured Canyonlands in Utah.

We've been to Death Valley Nat. Park. This is where most of this was filmed. I recognized most of the spots and that is also what is listed in the locations. It does list Valley of Fire too, but I didn't recognize anything from when we visited.

my wife and I was at Valley Of Fire Sept 2016 again and I located another scene location. All together I've located 3 scene locations besides the wall.

What were the three scenes?

1. The very narrow slot canyon they rode through. This is near the wall.
2. The area where Burt Lancaster held back Jack Palance and had a long conversation with near the end of the film.
3. The domes parking lot where the ore train tracks were.
Also I think the Devil's Golf Course in Death Valley was where the scene was where they crossed the desert. This area was also used for the film Robinson Crusoe on Mars.
I took pictures of the places. Be happy to share them. Hm.. maybe I can post them here if anyone is interested.
Let me know.
Earl
