AKITA!

AKITA! AKITA!

reply

Thanks, I was just about to ask if this is the film where that's all the prehistoric people say. I know the answer now!

reply

They also say "AKITA!" in "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth."

reply

They also say "udalah" (spear), "takeetah" (goes to get - as in "Ahot takeetah Tumak"), and "bahndy" (???).

(Yeah, I know - I've seen this movie waaay too many times since I was a kid...)

Didn't they also say "Makaam! Makaam!" (sp?) (I saw it in 1975, so I could be wrong.)

A language with only about five words, but of two or three syllables each, sounds stupid to me.

And let's not forget the ever popular: "Arrrrg!"

P.S. -- Looking at it now, I think: "Akita!" meant "Help!" -- as in "Help him." etc.
