Strange Bass Sounds

I've noticed this for years, but just decided to post this.
In all of the parts of the movie featuring dinosaurs/prehistoric animals/ enlarged modern-day animals ( the iguana and the spider), there is a strong, continuous bass (very low volume) tone that is played throughout the scene.

The real annoying sound was the industrial machine like sound whenever the cavemen fought

I did not hear the bass. Where they largemouth or smallmouth bass?
