4K restoration now out on Blu-ray!

I have the recently released 4K restoration of ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. on Blu-ray from Studio Canal in the UK. It looks fantastic, often incredibly detailed and sharp (for a 1966 vintage film, of course). IMDb says the film's aspect ratio is 1.85:1, but the Blu-ray transfer is 1.66:1.

A US Blu-ray is coming out in February 2017.

thanks for the info, I was just watching it on TCM and it still didn't look like a blu ray. not bad but not blu ray. I didn't think it looked that good so I popped in a regular old dvd and the old dvd looked terrible compared to the TCM version. it's a 4K restoration but do you need one of the new 4K dvd players to get the full effect or would a regular blu ray player work if you have the latest 4K television set up? mine supposed to upscale it and normal blu ray's look fantastic on it.

Just got this myself and am watching it now. Definitely one of the strongest restorations of a Hammer film I've seen and I own every blu ray available of Hammer's outp

I just finished watching it for the first time. Very good movie! For some reason I expected this to be a comedy. It's a serious, fun, thrilling adventure film with some marvelous effects. Raquel Welch has to be the most beautiful woman ever. I'm giving this film an unexpected 8/10 and I am seriously considering buying the blu ray.
