Margaret's Renaissance education

Just watched a really good programme on BBC4 about Thomas More's daughter and how he educated his daughters in a time when women were thought to be 'feeble-minded'. She defied the rules and published a book (although she didn't put her name on it.) The Church found out and were horrified and she would have been in serious trouble if Cardinal Wolsey hadn't stepped in and authorised it with his seal. She certainly inherited her father's courage as well as his intelligence.

I saw that programme too and thought it was brilliant! Plus they used all historians and not one fiction writer insight ;)

I do feel a little sorry for More's other children, (including Margaret Giggs), who seemed to be a bit forgotten.

TL..maybe you're aware of a recent (I think) book on Margaret? Title eludes me now but I can find out.

It's called "A Daughter's Love"
