Anne Boleyn blowing on Henry's face
In the scene where Vanessa Redgrave makes a cameo as Anne Boleyn, there is a very interesting moment where she drinks a bowl of wine and then lightly blows on Henry's face as he serenades her with a courting song. What is your interpretation of this? Mine is that it conveys how Anne was hoping to cool Henry's fiery temperament and relieve the doubts which Thomas More has planted in him. Redgrave conveyed so much in her wordless scene... her Anne is both beguiled and frightened by Henry and she now seeks to stabilise him and consolidate her advantage over More.
