watched for 1st time on TCM last night

I thought this movie was wonderful. The whole cast was amazing. Roddy McDowell was almost haunting in the way he and Tuesday Weld went about their business. Ruth Gordon was entertaining in her own way. The scene where Lola Albright committs suicide and looks in the mirror and says something like '1234567 Girls like me don't go to heaven' was really haunting. If you haven't seen it I would def check it out! The creepiest part was the sweater scene where it's kind of coming off like Tuesday is seducing her father for clothes! yikes.

Since I adore Roddy McDowell, I too watched it on TCM the other night. Can NOT believe he was 38 and playing a HS Senior. Would not have guessed.

The movie was weird, and dark, and sad and funny, and I loved it. Everyone in it was so good.

You said it exactly right - it was all those things. It was zany and unpredictable and I loved it too. And you're right - everyone in it was so good!

When I saw it, I thought he was a 18-19 in the movie playing a high school student!! Great performance, amazing. It kept my attention and was so funny! Hey, Hey, Hey!!
