How much screend time does Gene Hackman have?
He's my favorite actor, and i am trying to watch more of his earlier work before French Connection. I heard he was in this and wondering how big a part he has and if its good?

Gene Hackman appears throughout most of the film, though he's not in every scene. He plays a very proper, 19th century New England doctor who is also a missionary. He's also one of the more caring individuals in the film; he shows more concern for the well-being of Jerusha (Julie Andrews) than her husband.
