So what is the full list of the 23 types of adultery?
That was so funny.
"Married Man with son's wife"
"Married Man with daughter"
"Married Man with son"
We can't show the list -- someone may find something new on it and want to try it.
(that was the movie's excuse anyway.)
Did the book go on with that "list", or was that only in the movie?
As I remember seeing the 161 minute DVD, the reason the elder was naming the list was because he thought unless all the kinds were listed, the Hawaiians would each think 'their kind of adultery' was OK, but the OTHER 22 were not.
Keoke suggested if they were all listed, people might want to try some, or all of them.
Abner's reply was that he would pray on the matter, and walked off, with the list about half done, and done over the other dialog.
I don't know how that could be done as well in a book...
Now, there was a fairly recent movie "Number 23" or something like where the main character kept seeing the number 23 coming up, and thought that was some sort of message or conspiracy. Surely there was no connection to that movie?
