I have some triva for people My dad was in the movie hawaii as a extra on the boat and on the cast list Bette Midler was casted as my dads wife cool huh if I ever meet Bette or Max Von S. I want to get there autograph on the orgnial cast list my dada has

That is cool! I just came from seeing a beautiful print of this film at the Egyptian Theater in LA (full version). The speaker before the film pointed out that this was Bette Midler's first performance on film, but you have to look fast. So I knew to keep an eye out and I did notice her in two brief shots in the background on the boat. He also said it was Gene Hackman's first film, too.

That's wonderful that they showed the full version - how did the print look?

Hawaii is not Hackman's first film;Hackman has a sizable role in Lilith(1964).

Mr. Hackman's first film is "Mad Dog Coll" (1961).
