I get that it was part of the era and how they tried to make movies feel more epic but this movie should have just started right off with those amazing titles with the close ups of the wheels and engines revving anybody else agree? Start it off with a bang

The overture also foreshadowed the Intermission orchestration of the movie, which let the audience empty their bladders and pick up snack refills. It was a more enlightened and civilized era. shareThe overtures to roadshow movies of the 1960s were to give the audience time to get settled, quiet down, and get in the mood for the movie to begin. Now that constant talking and texting are accepted behavior in movie theaters, it wouldn't make any difference.
