Grand Prix to be shown Saturday Sept. 16

Kyle Petty to Share Four of His Favorite Films on TCM: Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will take viewers on a ride with NASCAR driver Kyle Petty on Saturday, Sept. 16, as he introduces and discusses with TCM weekend daytime host Ben Mankiewicz his love for the quintessential Hollywood classic Casablanca to the controversial cult film Freaks (1932). Petty exchanges his racecar driving status for a role as a devoted fan of classic film by hand-picking four of his favorite movies and sharing with viewers what he has come to love about each one.

The film schedule is as follows (all times Eastern):
12pm: Freaks (1932)
1:15pm: Grand Prix (1966)
4:30pm: D.O.A. (1950)
6pm: Casablanca (1942)

Petty's day of co-hosting with Ben Mankiewicz on TCM will precede the first race in the chase for the Nextel Cup Championship. Coverage begins live on Sept. 17 at 12:30pm/et on TNT.(Turner PR)(9-13-2006)
