Doris Day wanted Forrest Tucker for the role of Bruce

I'm not glad that her clout was waning, but so glad they insisted on Rod Taylor. He was so hot. I still have a huge crush on him.

Doris and Rod can be seen goofing around together and looking very happy in a DVD extra showing costume tests for the movie. Apparently she had a nice time working with him.

I'll have to go back and watch the extras on the dvd. I don't remember seeing any goofing around between Doris and Rod that you speak of in the bonus material, but I'd love to see it.

I'm sure she did have a good time and vice versa. God, they were so gorgeous in 1965, plus or minus several decades in either direction.
