Would Georgy make a good mother?
Oh, there's no question that Georgy loved kids and got on well with them, but I wonder what sort of mother she would be. No doubt she'd take good care of the child, but the question is whether she'd end up being one of those emotionally smothering mothers, who involve themselves overmuch with their children and just can't let them go.
The ending of this film is interesting. On paper it looks like a stereotypical happy ending---Georgy got her millionaire and her baby and everything is peachy. But I also have to wonder how that marriage would work out. There's no indication that Mr Leamington appreciated Georgy as a person, that he was in love with her. Rather, he seemed to be in lust with her only, and I'm not at all sure he'd make a good match for her in the end. Heck, even before the end credits roll he is already looking like he's thinking he made a big mistake!
