My Favorite part..Spoilers!
..I really thought the ending was great..first Col. Reid enthusiastically shakes Grant's hand for a mission well done. Then, ALL the scientists, technicians, support crew rush out to help/greet the returning heroes who succeeded in their mission and come back to full size after nearly drowning in a tear duct. The final shot shows two or three of the four surviving crew members in various states of distress..while Col. Reid goes around to each and every one of them shaking their hands, telling them what a great job they did, and making sure they get the help they need..That's a true leader!
