Tree hugging book hippies

so let me get this straight.

-they burn books and memorize then for what? Isn't the entire point of books to dissemiate information to masses rather than keeping them in our own heads? What is the point of memorizing books?

-By memorizing books they are ruining their own future and not passing on their learned knowledge to their children. It's like that one friend who only listens to old music because everything created after <insert date here> is crap

-Montag murdered someone over a book. It's completely absurd and he should be in jail.

-Montag's wife was right to leave him.

-This movie is ridicilous.

- Did you miss the line where one of the book people literally tells Montag that one day, in the future when books are no longer banned, they will all come forward and recite themselves so that their memorized books can be written again? They were not just keeping the books for themselves, they hid themselves away so that they could preserve literary works for future generations. And one dying man was actually shown passing a book on to his young nephew.

- Sure, Montag murdered someone over a book. And that person would have had no qualms about murdering someone for possessing a book. So...

- Montag's wife had no brain. She probably forgot she had been married at all five minutes after she left him. So long as she had her portable "family."

- This movie is awesome.
