why is this not in the top 250 ratings?

this has the requirements to be in the top 250 movies of all time list...so why isnt it?

reply

Does it? I don't think it does. It's not a movie.

reply

Far as I can tell, the top 250 only includes movies originally released for theatre showings, and not TV or V (video release only) movies.

To be in the Top 250 ratings it has to be a feature film.
Documentaries and Short Films (like this one) don't count.

bombad jedi is right. to be in the top 250 (or the bottom 100), a film must be full-lengh fiction. Too bad though, because this movie sure belongs on that list.

because it is a tv movie, technically, and tv movies don't go up on the best movies ever list. and thats pretty sad! it is one of my favorite chistmas movies!

The IMDB people should make a top 250 for everything that can't get on the movie 250.

reply

Yeah seriously, wouldn't that be neat? This TV-premiere will definitely be in it.

Remember the name, CHRIS HEWITT, because when I'm famous, you'll hear a LOT more of it ;-)

I remember some years ago it appeared in the Top 250 (alongside other titles made for TV or Video, for example "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "The Godfather trilogy 1901-1980" and "Pride and prejudice [1995]"). But yes, now they have put some more rules so these are no longer classified there.
