Sorry, but have to agree with the Grinch on one thing...

Of course, he was wrong to go down the mountain and steal the Whos' stuff. But when he first started telling Max why he hated Christmas, he touched on something I have to agree with...the noise.

Have you ever lived next to noisy neighbors? It drives people nuts! And then they show all the noisy things they would do on Christmas morning (especially the big contraption they were riding on that was nothing but a giant noise making device), and all I could think was "that would piss me off if I lived next to them."

Add in the fact they are so loud you could hear them all the way up the mountain, and I could actually sympathize with the Grinch on that argument (of course, there were other factors involved, but still on that point...).

Anyone else see that part of it and go "you know, that would irk me too"?

I can only assume that they are noisy are year long. What they were doing on Christmas was so ludicrous that it's not too far fetched. I lived behind a house that was always making noise and it was causing us to to lose sleep and waking us up all night. I often thought about what I would to do to them as payback.

Maybe the Grinch was sleep deprived and was starting to go insane?

Nerullralishaz, I accept your point, but think that this sort of issue should be excused for a major holiday like Christmas. Christmas Day is not supposed to be quiet and static. Showing off your presents and having a lively gathering with your family and friends are part of the celebration. The family who lives across the street from the back of our house has a large party every 4th of July that involves their inground pool and a barbeque. They get quite loud at times, but it doesn't bother me because it's what the 4th of July should sound like.

Oh my gosh, seriously...I mean, obviously there are other ways to handle irritating neighbors, but seriously...would you want to deal with hearing chimes and base drums and those horrible repetitive songs all day....The Who's are just those annoying neighbors that make you hate life.
