50 years and still going strong! I believe it was the unedited version too.

I still laugh, and choke up at certain parts. It's like a warm blanket, always comfortable.
I know Ted, Chuck, Boris, etc all had other projects that they loved, and were proud of. But honestly this was and is fantastic.
The charm in it and simplicity of staying with the story was perfect. Something you can't say of the 1996 live action version.

Boris's voice is a treasure and Chuck's animation is a real treat. Add this created world and the holiday spirit involved and what's not to like?!?!
