Is this violent?
Though it was made in 1966, the BBFC website says this film has "some strong violence". How violent is it? Is this "strong violence" referring to the scene where Brando is hit (in slow-motion, which was then speeded up)?

shareWell he isn;t merely hit, he gets the crap kicked out of him
share The beating scene is pretty vicious, but other than that the movie's pretty tame. One of the last scenes has blood, but it's only on a body. It's not shown like in Penn's Bonnie and Clyde or a couple yrs later with The Wild Bunch.
"Congratulations, Major. It appears that at last you have found yourself a real war." Ben Tyreen
Brando does walk around all bruised and bloodied after the beating and through to the end.
I'm here, Mr. Man, I cannot tell no lie and I'll be right here till the day I die
