A question about the movie

Howdy Troops!
I have a question which someone smarter than me might be able to answer. Whoever helps me out, I'll dig out my VHS of Big Hand and make you a DVD-R copy for free. When Joanne goes to see the banker and tells him her story, he replies with some Latin which means piling one outrageous thing upon another. Something like "Pitium in Awsum" or something like that. I'd like to know exectly what he said and the translation. I first saw this movie 35 years ago in the lobby of a dormitory. It blew me away then and still does. Thanks!

Piling Ossa on Pelion. These are mountains in Greece that the twin brother giants, Otus and Ephaialtes, put atop one another in an attempt to storm heaven and attack the gods.

Colloquially this means to make fantastic efforts to accomplish your ends.

This is taken from The Meridian Handbook of Classical Mythology.

You can contact me at [email protected] about the DVD-R

Hope this helps
