Overrated?!

Wander out to a crowded street and randomly interview passer-bys "So, what do you think of Robert Bresson's films?". The most common answer you'll receive is "Who??".

Bresson and his films are not 'overrated'. Titanic is overrated - Bresson is admired by small circles of film-makers and film lovers.

your reasoning for why it's not "overrated" is just as bad as the OP's reasoning for why it's a bad movie. i'm sure by overrated, he means the movie does not deserve an 8.0 on imdb, not how POPULAR the movie is.

The OP doesn't even deserve a mention here...he's an idiot. Plain and simple. Because the "Bad Guy" got away, he thinks the film is "overrated". As mentioned already, it appears that the OP doesn't even understand the definition of "overrated". Lots of simpletons in these threads. Most of them love "Pirates of the Caribbean" and anything by David Spade.

Agreed, he's an idiot. But not a MORON. He does seem to like "Withnail and I" quite a lot, and we've got to give him some credit for that.

I think that Bresson's films are so different from anyone else's, that the first time you see one, you are initially kind of perplexed. I find they really get under your skin, and keep worming themselves into your mind.
