1000 votes!!! this film is getting popular

I insist: Pickpocket is his best film but also this movie is beautiful. Bresson is getting the praise that he deserves... thanks to the DVDs... 2005 was the year of Bresson.

yeah, this film is getting popular and i made a blind buy because i havent seen this film.i just ordered the criterion dvd of this movie

i did the same thing, based solely on reviews. One review said something along the lines of "after watching this, I was going to watch something else, but there was no real point". I bought it and it was one of the best purchases I've made. I'm sure you'll love it.

The greatest film I've ever seen and one of the important works of the medium.

Another blind buy based on a review (I saw it on a list of Top 10 Animal Films??????). Wonderful film.

It was the 2003 theatrical re-release that got the ball rolling. I came to New York about 5 years ago, so maybe I just didn't know what was going on before, but we seem to be living in a sort of golden age for classic films re-emerging, both in theaters (Rialto Pictures) and DVD (Criterion, obviously). Which is fortunate since so much which is new disappoints.
