Believing in ghosts and miracles

Poor Lee Meriwether.

In episode 19, The Ghost of Nero, ~26 minutes in, she defends the possible existence of Nero's ghost, saying "General, because we're scientists we can't discard any possibility. If that was a ghost that took possession of the German soldier..."

Then in the very next episode, The Walls of Jericho, in the first 3 minutes, she claims "As a scientist I don't permit myself to believe in miracles. We'll see whether or not the walls came tumbling down."

She must have been having a really bad week.

Good point; I had never noticed that before.

In any case, the continuity folks on this series had lots of bad weeks!

Mind you, compared to Allen's other series, TTT is a model of consistency, logic and incisive characterization...

"Duck, I says..."

Different writer perhaps than from Nero.

But clearly there was little or no continuity on this or any of Allen's other series. Lee Meriwether's character would go from in-charge woman of science in one episode to being a whimpering damsel-in-distress in another. Would have been nice if Irwin Allen gave a damn about his series characters and not just the special effects and set design.

I didn't think Jericho was the next episode to Ghost of Nero. I'll have to watch the series again.

By the way, what's this about two new episodes released in November 2012?
