how do they understand ancient languages etc yet whenever they meet a non-white person they cannot understand them i.e. when they hear japanese or amerindian yet they understand ancient hebrew, ancient Caananite, German, old english, etc etc
shareThis type of criticism is just ridiculously off base. For gawd's sake, it was a tv show. Would it change anything to explain away the language problem by sticking a small fish in a person's ear that translates all languages for the person? Complain about bad science, bad acting or any other tangible quality-- that's acceptable. Stop centering on idiotic problem such as this or the fact that the time travelers always landed on some momentous day in each episode! The travellers wandering around some past city block for a half hour each week with nothing of note happening just wouldn't be interesting television. Yeesh!
