Decades ahead of it's time

TT is essentially Stargate SG-1 but for time and not space .

It was actually set in the future. 1968, when it was first broadcast in 1966!

I mainly turned to STARGATE for laughs, all from the acting of Richard Dean Anderson, so frankly, in my mind I never paired up the two shows.

But I welcome all views.

You have to remember others that preceded "Stargate SG-1": "Voyagers!" ("fixing" events), which was followed much later by "Sliders" (alternate timelines). Actually, there have been a number of time-travel series; maybe others will list them. "Time Trax" is one; I think it was inspired by "Timecop".

Of course, "Stargate" "borrowed" from a rather old sci fi novel in which a gate that allows time travel is discovered in Egypt. I wish I could recall the title and author!
