I am curious as to the city that the GH took place in.It doesn't seem to be mentioned in the show, but I vaguely remember Britt reid mentioning it in conversation with Bruce Wayne at Wayne manor in the crossover episode. I think he said "Center City" but I'm not sure. I've also seen it called out as Washington DC in a prime tv history book, but I don't believe that. Any help would be appreciated.
I know the Now comic book took place in a city that was a modeled after Detroit and I believe New York. I believe the city was made up, much like Gotham City with Batman. I haven't seen too many episodes of the TV show, so I'm not sure if they ever discussed that or not.
the city the Green Hornet(s) operates in was never mentioned, in either radio, tv or comics. However, sinse the radio show was broadcast out of Detroit, we can guess that that's what it is.
I was about to post a new thread with this question, when I dug through the old threads and found this. I'd checked the Batman crossover episode (I have a "complete copy") where this info was conspicuously absent. (In the Wayne Manor scene Bruce merely says, "That's because you have no Batman in your city.")
So does the GH TV series indeed ever refer to "Central City", or any other name? If not, I was thinking along the same lines that since the character was created at a Detroit radio station, the locale would logically be based on that city, albeit fictionalized as "Motor City".

No not at all.

The series rarely depicts scenes with people w/o overcoats, so my thinking is that the city is supposed to be a north mid-continent town like Chicago, the windy city. Also, keep in mind that the villians tended to be gangsters and no other city was associated more with gangsters and the mafia at that time than Chicago. Runners up in my book are Detroit, New York and Boston. Clearly it's not supposed to be LA or San Francisco, or any other warm-climate metropolis.
