Answers to TGH Trivia Challenge

Q.How long will a person be rendered unconscious by the Hornet Gun's gas? A.20-minutes.In the episode "Give 'Em Enough Rope,"the Green Hornet sprays Mike Axford with the Hornet Gun.He then tells Kato that Mike should be out for 20-minutes. Q.On which episode do we see TGH & K not use any of their incredible gadgets.A."Bad Bet On A 459---Silent." Q.On what episode does Mike Axford have no scenes at all? A."Trouble For Prince Charming." But I must also say that he does not appear on the 2-part episode "Invasion From Outer Space." I had not watched this episode until recently & made an error that Mike was only missing from one episode.

The question I brought up: What is the one episode without D.A. Scanlon (discounting his still in the standard opening title sequence, seen in all 26 just as Lloyd Gough is credited as Axford in all)? A: Freeway to Death.

The GREEN HORNET Strikes Again!

I just watched "Freeway to Death" & you are correct, there's no DA Scanlon in it at all.TGH & Kato use the Hornet Mortar in this episode,a device not utilized in any other episodes. And while I greatly appreciate the SyFy Channel's GH Marathon, unfortunately these episodes have been edited. For instance, there was a scene missing where Britt Reid visits Emmet Crown(Jeffery Hunter)at Crown's construction site.As Reid leaves Crown & is walking to his car a worker purposely drops a boulder on Reid from his machine.Britt rolls out of the way just in time.It was interesting to see Jeff Hunter as a guest star on a TGH show.He was a movie star, although he did do some TV here & there as well as star on the western series Temple Houston.

It's interesting to see Jeffrey Hunter in that episode, particularly since it was after he turned down the lead on "Star Trek" because he wasn't a TV star, he was a movie star. At least according to his wife.

Here's a question. "The Green Hornet" was inspired by the success of "Batman" in 1966, but what were the two super-hero spoofs that premiered on different networks in Jan. 1967? They both debuted the same day, Jan. 9th, and they both went off the air the same day, Aug. 28th, 1967.
