I LOVE this show!

Family Affair is a bit before my existence but thanks to MeTV my son and I look forward to watching this at 6:30a weekday mornings. The writing was great with storylines that pitched in some reality with the comedy (ex: Eve Plumb guest star as a sickly child causing Buffy to learn about death; the little girl whose mother left her home alone a lot, etc.) I like how Uncle Bill & Mr. French parent these young children, especially without prior experience.

Everyone should have an Uncle Bill!

I love it, too! It was around when I was younger but the kids kind of irritated me then, so I didn't watch it. I thought it was all fluff.

There is some serious stuff in it (I saw both episodes you did). Thank G-d today's episode was lighter! I don't know of any other 30-minute sitcoms that would have dealt with those topics then. Still, it didn't try for a happy resolution where there could be none (the terminally ill friend, for example).

I'm not an earlier riser, but I'm making it a point to watch now.

Oops sorry, Family Affair comes on at 7am not 6:30

Family Affair so beats the Brady Brunch! They always ended the day with happy endings and I disliked how everyone was so 'squeaky clean'.

I know what you mean I LOVE LOVE LOVE "FA" and there were several episodes that could make me shed a few tears the examples of those episodes

1) Mrs Beasley Where Are You, the scene where Cissy explaine to Uncle Bill the importantces

2) Bewear the other women, when Sharon has Cissy (and then the twins) hysterical thinking another speration is immenate

3) Once in Love with Buffy, the end where first the trio starts to the door then start breaking down w/ Uncle Bill not far behind either

4) Christmas came a little early nough said
