With Prometheus now out, whose revelation into the identities of the Space Jockeys didn't live up to expectations, we need to revisit the orginal concept. I think The Vampire Planet was very imaginative when it came to the Alien landscape, not to mention, stylish and eerie. This would be a great candidate for a remake with some fresh ideas and updated special effects.

No one is going to do this any better than it has already been done. CGI, more more more of whatever...will not improve the narrative or the impact. I really hope they leave it alone and Ridley Scott keeps living in his world of denial... and mediocrity. Aside from Blade Runner and Alien, he's done NOTHING of worth, and Alien was already done in Planet of the Vampires AND It: The Terror from Beyond Space.
