I find this a dull film

It only picks up pace in the last 20 minutes or so and by then it's far too late. Up to that point it bumbles predictably along with a competent cast given little to do.

It's a middle-tier John Wayne western for me. Not bad but it could had been shaved off fifteen, twenty minutes.

It takes it's time setting up the final act, but the payoff is worth it. Modern movies don't trust the audience to follow a story for that long.
