Washing up...Elder style.

Cansomeone either confirm or deny that there was a scene removed from some versions of the movie. As a child I remember seeing this brilliant film on tv and VIVIDLY remember John Wayne throwing a bucket of water over a table of nailed down plates ! However, I own this movie on DVD and the scene is missing. Was I dreaming? Is my memory (and that of my Father) fading fast? OR could I just be getting my films mixed up?

If you do know where I could track down this version I would be delighted. (I know it's only about 3 seconds worth of a scene but I remember laughing SO much!)

That scene is from a Sam Peckinpaw film "The Ballad Of Cable Hogue" Which started Jason Robards & Stella Stevens

There is a scene like that in the Musical Paint Your Wagon.
