Who Played 0008
I have always wanted to know who played 0008, the Connery lookalike.
Does anybody know?
Uh, you could've just checked the extended credits listing and found that actor Robert 'Bob' Gunner played 0008. His biggest, and certainly most famous role was the part of Astronaut Landon in the classic "Planet of the Apes" film. I suspect that Gunner was a 20th-Fox contract player since nearly all of his roles -- which amount to about five -- were for appearances in productions made at 20th Century-Fox studios. His one TV appearance was in the cult favorite "The Green Hornet" series of 1966-67. After "Apes" he seemed to have disappeared, literally.

shareThere was actually a 0008 spy spoof series of novels, adult-themed (but not porn as it was the mid-60s and still taboo...but they do come close). Some of the titles include "Our Man From Sadisto", "Our Girl From Mephisto", "Sadisto Royale", "Naughtypus", "For Your Sighs Only", etc. In the books, 0008 makes reference to 007, Spectre, etc. I've always imagined the 0008 in the Flint movie was the only appearance of the 0008 from the Clyde Allison novels.
